Attendance
At Clifton-upon-Dunsmore Primary School we value the attendance of all pupils. There is a strong relationship between good school attendance and achieving positive outcomes for children. It is recognised that attending school regularly can be a protective factor for children and young people. It is important that as a school we offer a safe environment, positive relationships, high quality teaching and learning opportunities to develop social and emotional skills.
Ensuring that children attend school every day will help achieve this ambition by maximising their education and social achievements as well as developing self-discipline, organisation and preparedness for the work environment. Improving attendance and reducing absence, especially persistent absence is a priority for our school and Warwickshire County Council.
Our school mission is through good attendance we can instil a love of learning for our children so that, ‘with open minds and loving hearts, we will achieve,’ enables them all to realise their full potential.
Mrs Bernard is our School Attendance Lead
Dr Sadkowska is our School Attendance Governor
We also work alongside the Attendance Hub within Warwickshire County Council who monitor attendance within our school.
Please see the charts below for how Clifton compares to schools nationwide on absence during the academic Year 2024-2025.
